Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Campus Recreation, the Associate Director of Campus Recreation provides comprehensive leadership for facility and operational needs of the 200,000 square foot Campus Recreation Center as well as satellite fields and associated facilities. The Associate Director of Campus Recreation is considered a key member of the senior leadership team and provides leadership and development to three professional staff members as well as indirect leadership to a graduate assistant and 70+ student employees. In addition, the Associate Director of Campus Recreation is responsible for oversight of large-scale capital projects, strategic planning, fiscal and resource management, oversight of third-party custodial services, work order management, strategic assessment and data collection, and other duties as assigned. The Associate Director of Campus Recreation must be a student-centered visionary leader who comes to work every day with a collaborative spirit.

What We Expect
Master’s degree
Three (3) years of successful, full time paid employment in campus recreation or community recreation programs to include supervisory, programming, budgetary and facility management responsibilities

MTSU is located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, about 35 miles southeast of downtown Nashville. With an enrollment around 19,000 students, the university has eight undergraduate colleges, offering more than 40 departments and more than 140 degree programs. The College of Graduate Studies offers more than 100 degree programs. MTSU athletics competes in Conference USA.
