Job Posting - Director of Property Management

About this position
NAI Select seeks an experienced, professional Director of Property Management to join our company in the Boise, Idaho area. The Director of Property Management leads our property management operations as well as serves as the point of contact for third-party office, retail and industrial owners and condominium associations located in the Treasure Valley and Southern Idaho.
As a member of the Leadership Team, report on property management operations, attend quarterly and annual offsite meetings to cast strategic vision for 1, 3 and 10 year goals through the EOS framework, and participate in weekly meetings to solve company-wide issues.
Essential Functions/Tasks
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable a highly capable property management and accounting team.
- Trusted advisor to build and maintain strong relationships with our valuable third-party property management clients.
- Maintain and improve quality of service, processes and procedures in accordance with industry best practices.
- Proactively generate and execute a business development and marketing plan to continually acquire new property management business, individually and collaboratively.
- Represent NAI Select in various industry organizations as an industry leader (e.g. NAI Global Property Management Council, BOMA, IREM and CREW).
- Responsible for departmental budgeting, revenue generation and P & L (profit and loss) performance.
- Negotiate market-based lease renewals and oversee preparation of lease documents.
- Oversee and administer property insurance policies and property tax evaluations and appeals. Ensure insurance claims, legal and collection matters are properly documented and addressed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Business Administration, Business Management or Real Estate major (or commensurate industry experience) preferred.
- Current certification as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Real Property Administrator (RPA) preferred.
- Exceptional servant leader with ability to effectively work with clients, tenants, vendors, company leaders and staff.
- Thorough knowledge of property management operations and leadership experience in the field preferred.
- Excellent financial acumen including: budgeting, CAM reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Computer competency in Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Excel and Word, as well as property management software (e.g. AppFolio, AvidXchange, Yardi).
Workplace/Travel
- This position is a full-time position, generally working 40 hours per week and may be on-call after hours, when needed.
- Position requires some travel between properties managed and to meetings, however, most travel is local. Some travel out of the area required to visit properties outside the Treasure Valley or to attend meetings, conferences, or training. The Director of Property Management uses their personal vehicle and is paid mileage at current IRS mileage rate.
