Position Summary:
The "Senior Analyst - Insights and Decision Support" position will be based in the Buy-Sell Analytics team within McKesson Technology Organization supporting Generics Stakeholders. The person will be responsible for applying rudimentary to advanced analytical techniques to both Sales and Financial data and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making within the Pharmacy Services & Solutions (PSaS) organization. This role requires a strong understanding of business acumen (sales/operations/finance) and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Collect, preprocess, and analyze sales and financial data, including but not limited to (SQL, Azure, Snowflake, SAP-COPA,BW,BPC) to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
Forecasting and Predictive Analytics: Develop and maintain financial forecasting models and predictive analytics tools to aid in revenue projections, and risk assessment.
Financial Modeling: Build complex financial models to understand and evaluate various scenarios, such as profitability analysis, investment decisions, and cost optimization strategies.
Data Visualization: Create clear and informative data visualizations to communicate insights to business & financial stakeholders and senior management.
Risk Assessment: Analyze sales and financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities for mitigation or capitalization.
Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, operations and financial performance and assist in setting and achieving key business goals.
Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams such as finance, data analysts/scientists/engineers, and other leadership stakeholders to understand data requirements, share insights, and drive data-driven decisions.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that financial analytics and reporting comply with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest developments in advanced analytics and technology to contribute to best practices within the organization.
Qualifications:
Typically requires 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or advanced analytics.
Bachelor's or Master's degree (in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field), or equivalent work experience.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL.
Solid Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and experience with advanced analytics tools and techniques.
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting, and financial modeling.
Experience with financial analysis and forecasting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Strong communication and presentation skills, especially in conveying complex financial findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Good blend of data and analytics landscape, technical and business acumen
Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Certifications in relevant technology or business domain areas are advantageous.
Experience in working with finance stakeholders and supporting financial decision-making.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$104,400 - $174,000
