The City of Springfield is seeking a Budget & Procurement Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day administration and supervision of the City’s Budget and Procurement programs to include managing the development of the City and Springfield Economic Development Agency (SEDA) budget, financial forecasting, managing the City’s decentralized procurement program, managing the City’s purchase card program, leading City-wide process improvement initiatives, and providing technical expertise and complex analysis to City executives, managers, and analysts.
Education/ Experience: The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. Such a way to meet minimum qualifications could include: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or related field, and; • 5-7 years of experience performing budget preparation, financial analysis, or related discipline, and; • 1-2 years of program or personnel management experience
Preferences may be given based on prior experience: • Prior governmental experience
