The position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and overall management of Biomedical Research Support Facility (BRSF) and animal care personnel. Assure overall facility compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Responsible for the institution’s animal care program, policy, planning and administration. Assure standard operating procedures are current and accurate and that occupational safety procedures are followed. In collaboration with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), assist in development and implementation of written protocols and SOP’s for animal care ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards applicable to animal care.
