It is time to accelerate our growth cycle even more and for this we are in search of an exceptional individual to take on the Sales Director role and help lead the charge for the next chapter in our growth story.
The Sales Director position is responsible for onboarding new clients and growing existing business within an assigned territory. Sales Director candidates are not required to work out of the VA/MD headquarters.
Candidate may work from a dedicated home office; dependable internet and phone coverage as well as scanning and printing capabilities will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Grow sales volume in Primary Territory of DC, MD, and VA and secondary territory of the Mid-Atlantic by developing new accounts across multiple business channels (including but not limited to retail, restaurant, office, grocery, banking, healthcare, education).
Build and maintain long-term business relationships with existing clients.
Grow current clients by expanding into additional business lines or markets.
Manage accounts and client relationships in a positive, business appropriate and professional manner in all interactions/settings.
Work in conjunction with the Head of Operations, providing real time voice-of-customer feedback, issues or concerns.
Work in conjunction with the Head Estimator to get pricing for key construction, remodel, build-out, and fit-out projects.
Report bi-weekly to CEO on sales targets and upcoming projects including sales forecasts.
Attend frequent sales calls to review sales activity and productivity.
Follow up on company-supplied leads in a timely manner.
Generate and foster leads.
Maintain accurate records in real-time of all outreach in a CRM platform.
Gather and submit detailed information and pricing for all RFP requests in territory.
Overnight Travel will be required for Tradeshows, Quarterly meetings, trainings, and/or company sponsored events (could be up to 5 consecutive days).
Additional travel could be required to effectively prospect, onboard and/or manage client base.
Some meetings or meeting-related travel may occur during the evening or during weekend hours.
Attend multiple Tradeshows a year.
Booth attendance, requiring booth set-up before event and tear down after.
Meet or exceeds quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives within assigned territory.
Flexibility in role as other duties may be assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
Minimum (3) years of related commercial experience required; may include (but not limited to) sales, product/brand management, national account management and/or similar experience.
Previous Industry specific sales experience preferred.
Must have a hunter mentality and be willing to research prospects without a given lead source.
Must be a self-starter and proactively report up on progress and roadblocks.
Must be proficient with MS Office and a CRM software.
Willingness to learn.
Demonstrated ability to work remotely.
Must be willing to utilize all internet meeting applications, often (Zoom, Go-To Meeting, Teams, etc.
Demonstrate strong priority setting to effectively manage time.
Ability to think on your feet and present well, both on the phone and in person.
Exceptional organizational skills, 100% follow-through against agreed upon initiatives.
Good listening skills, open-minded and can take feedback, open to coaching.
