Plan, organize, administrate, and direct the activities of plant operations and nutritional services to ensure the availability of high quality, nourishing meals as well as providing a safe, comfortable and functional environment for the twenty– four hour operation of the hospital. Direct the functions necessary to maintain the physical structures, utilities systems, mechanical equipment, grounds maintenance of all hospital properties. Maintain performance improvement activities as well as ensuring the competency of all personnel and preparation of all departmental budgets. Maintain efficient and effective departmental operations while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Ensuring compliance with JCAHO Environment of Care standards and oversee security of the building.
Establish departmental goals in accordance with the core values and processes of the hospital
Directs the development of the annual capitol and operating budgets of Plant Operations and Nutritional Services
Implements continuous improvements as a process to achieve desired outcomes in patient satisfaction, quality outcomes and financial performance.
Demonstrates the core values and processes of the organization.
Evaluate new equipment and makes recommendation for new equipment.
Primary liaison between Firelands Security force and executive management of THB
Provide direction to the on- site Security force; quality assurance and contract compliance; manage excessive overtime and Joint Commission requirements
Plan, inventory, purchase and maintains Security Camera System; provide direction for camera placement ;camera monitoring and oversee the making of copies of recordings
Manage and maintain badging system and door access system
Mechanical & Civil Engineering degree preferred
Masters degree preferred
Bachelor degree required
Ten years healthcare management experience required
Understanding of the functions of Nutritional Services required
Knowledge of ODH, OSHA, Joint Commission and all applicable regulatory bodies is desirable
Certification in at least one the ASHE facilities related fields, i.e. CHFM, CHSP, or CHESP is desirable
