The Vendor Development Specialist is responsible for recruiting, building and managing vendor relationships that support our mission. The focus is on fostering relationships that consistently meet company and client Service Level Agreements (SLA) and that are committed to providing our clients with a level of service that meets, or exceeds, our expectations.
Source and pre-qualify potential new vendors.
Establish and maintain strong partner relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with current service level agreements.
Collaborates with internal trade partners to translate customer requirements to service requirements including timelines, pricing, service and regulatory compliances.
Advocate on the vendor’s behalf to resolve any account issues.
Coordinates with internal trade partners and management to monitor the delivery of services and generate accurate vendor performance indicators to maintain a meaningful scorecard/rating system.
Manage vendor performance to facilitate identifying and correcting issues before they become detrimental to our client experiences.
Establish and manage periodic reviews with both preferred and high-risk vendors and provide meaningful feedback to strengthen mutually beneficial relationships.
Minimum two (2) years of vendor or customer management experience
Excellent written / verbal communication skills.
Familiar with office protocols, Microsoft products and the ability to learn and become proficient on multiple software applications.
Strong organization skills and a desire and the ability to take the initiative and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
