The MS&E FP&A Senior Analyst provides financial support to the MedSurg and Equipment category management teams. This role is responsible for developing the plan, forecast and budget and reporting business results.
This role will support business partners and the MedSurg & Equipment team and provide effective financial recommendations based on insightful customer and product profitability, and leverage analyses.
In addition, this role will support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed by leadership and lead continuous process improvements for the group.
This role supports multiple businesses units across multiple locations; strong communication skills will be necessary to support multiple internal customers. This role will be challenged to seek, propose, and drive process improvements across its areas of responsibilities.
Perform Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities for PSSP team, including:
Maintain budget policies and procedures
Perform variance analysis against forecasts and budgets
Perform periodic budgets and plans (e.g. LRP, AOP, other)
Perform periodic financial forecasts
Support business partners and PSSP teams and provide effective financial recommendations
Attend business partner team meeting/relationship management
Operationalize and implement plans to achieve budget
Prepare development of month-end deliverables to support the PSSP
Prepare standard management and executive level reporting
Analyze product mix and profitability at a supplier / contract level
Provide financial recommendations and business performance updates
Perform acquisition integration related activities and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives
Perform M&A and post-merger-integration activities
Perform Process improvements and special projects
Participate in personnel administrative activities
Attend internal meetings
Attend training and development activities
Maintain procedures and SOPs
Degree or Equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience mining data, creating presentations and presenting to mid to senior level management
Experience collaborating across the organization; across departments and business units
Experience with SQL preferred
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Excellent knowledge of financial statements
Experience generating management reports; forecasting and budgeting
Moderate experience working with FP&A preferred
Essbase Hyperion experience preferred
Previous healthcare or pharma experience preferred
MS Office 365 experience, proficient PowerPoint user
Attention to detail and demonstration of quick follow-up to study needs, commits to quality
Possess ability and willingness to evaluate complex business problems, determine a solution and make effective and persuasive presentations to management
Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred
Traditional office environment
Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required
General office demands
