Responsible for enterprise wide category strategy development and execution for Indirect categories.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes commodity and service requirements, creates RFPs and reviews and analyze bids.
Negotiates contracts and serves as the principal commercial intermediary between suppliers, CBRE, procurement, legal and risk management departments.
Analyzes the expenditure base to identify cost reduction opportunities, creates, documents, and continuously updates/maintains market and product knowledge.
Identifies, engages and influences internal stakeholders across organizational and geographical boundaries to ensure alignment behind Strategic Sourcing and Procurement strategies.
Acts as a business partner and change agent to fully understand business needs and ensure buy-in and successful implementation of Strategic Sourcing solutions.
Provides business clients with timely access to leading edge technologies, products and services to generate value and competitive advantage (i.e. cost efficiency, productivity, responsiveness and flexibility).
Manages supplier relationships, negotiates at a senior level and serves as the lead in mediation/problem resolution.
Identifies and implements best practices, systems and processes.
Manages and develops cross-divisional category team (sometimes without direct authority) to establish best-in class category management and to ensure alignment of all team members around a common set of category goals.
Mentors and educates the CBRE organization on contemporary sourcing practices and the value of applying them with third party providers to support CBRE business interests.
Operates autonomously with little supervision to achieve strategic objectives assigned.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Ability to travel (10-20%) both domestic and international, as needed.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent to a 4-year college program in relevant discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in procurement of MRO, services and supplies in multiple industries.
Minimum of 8 years of deep sourcing experience in diverse industries, with 8 years comprehensive sourcing experience in indirect spend areas preferred. Aptitude in working with international colleagues and suppliers to coordinate and execute global strategies within a dynamic team environment preferred. Demonstrated experience with service providers, multi-year contract management and outsourced providers preferred.
Demonstrated experience in contract administration, contract negotiation, quality assurance, and procurement management; Experience in implementing e-procurement solutions with exposure to systems development and supplier management.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Writes reports with clarity that influences others to support strategies. Makes effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, suppliers, top management and/or public groups. Motivates and negotiates effectively with key employees, suppliers, top management, and/or public groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Excellent financial analysis skills for evaluation of complex business proposals, cost trends and drivers and supplier profitability. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles and ability to calculate complex figures. Prepares forecasts, budgets and sourcing related financial reports.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Experienced with e-sourcing platforms, Zycus knowledge preferred.
