Manages the department's contracting and strategic sourcing activities including conducting bids, requests for proposals, and other procurement strategies for goods and services. Ensures accurate and timely completion of negotiations. Will be responsible for a portfolio of highly strategic initiatives. Develops, leads, and executes initiatives that advocate Lean management and standard work protocols. Responsible for ensuring supply chain contracting savings targets are met and contract expiration dates are not missed. Ensures department follows standard work, including communications and meeting Service Level Agreements among key stakeholders. Candidates with direct healthcare sourcing experience are highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience required. Certified Purchasing Manager, CCMP, CRMP or related certification highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of five years of contracting administration management or supply chain management that includes considerable contract and sourcing expertise or business administration experience.
Demonstrated knowledge at driving contract negotiations related to products, equipment, and service procurement.
Proficiency with sourcing and vendor management.
Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision. Self-starter that holds team accountable to work independently and meet timelines.
Proven ability to manage staff directly and collaborate with others through an indirect reporting structure.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, model accountability, and establish and monitor to expectations.
Proven ability to coach staff and attend to conflict.
Proven ability to effectively communicate, oral and written, to all stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience with customer relationship management affecting positive stakeholder outcomes. Promotes teamwork and collaboration while ensuring timely triaging of requests. Ensures decisions are made and documented in a timely manner.
